A glimpse of our day for our UK visitors.

Room Six have just come back to school after a two week break.  The children were very excited to share their news, especially those children who travelled away for the holidays.  Lots of children went to other towns in New Zealand in both the north and South Islands and we had one person go to Australia and one to Singapore.  Tomorrow we will post out writing about our holiday experiences.

Here are some photos of our first two days back in class.

Mrs C taught the children a new tag game called Chinese Wall.  The tagging team sit on the seats and have to run around the wall but the person who is in can run through the gaps in the wall.  We had a lot of fun but got pretty puffed.

Next we started our writing about our holidays.  We have been working on our stories for two days now.  Do you have to read your work and check that you have all your capital letters and full stops in the correct place and try to put more interesting words into your work?  We do!

Over the holidays Mrs C learned some new maths games.  She taught us a couple of dice games today.  One was Dotty Six.

These are pretty fun games to play and they help with adding and subtracting.
