Fireworks

Both of our blogging buddies wrote about fireworks and Mr Rockey posted a great photo.  For poetry today, we wrote our own class acrostic poem about fireworks and the children all have a copy in their poem books.  We had some great discussion and language when we were writing the poem.

Fireworks

 By Room Six

Fireworks are colourful

It is pretty when they shine at night

Roaring in the sky like thunder

Exploding in the sky

When they burst they are beautiful colours

Orange, red, purple and yellow

Round like a juicy orange

Kids and adults love to see them cutting through the blanket of the night

Shaking and clattering our windows

  1. Hey Room Six! We loved this acrostic and we thought you were very clever with your word choices. We are glad you liked the photo, we used it for a 5 sentence challenge too!
