Room Six, Day 1 2012

 

Here we all are on our first day of school for 2012.  We raced outside for a short glimpse of sunshine before the heavens opened and the rain came pouring down.

We did get a short time on the playground and then we went back to class where we told each other about our holidays and spent some time drawing pictures of the things we did over the break.  Duo travelled the furthest, going to China to visit his family.  Lots of children went to the movies and the pools, several had birthdays and all had a great holiday.

A great day in the classroom today.  Don’t forget to bring your togs tomorrow everyone.

Wow, Miss Evans, Mr Gilmour and I were at school today setting up the classrooms. It is pretty warm right now, so bring your togs on Wednesday everyone, we might be lucky enough to have a chance to get into the school pool. Here's hoping!

Here are my new chicks. They are still living in the chicken house and it will be a couple of weeks before they venture outside with their Mum. Here are some of their aunties.

The 2012 School Year is about to begin

Wow, Summer holidays are nearly over and the middle syndicate has been busy planning lots of cool learning activities to start the year with.  The first week we will focus on getting to know our new classes so don't expect any homework until week 2.  Here are some pictures of some of the children I met when I visited the class at the end of 2011.

I hope you have all had a great summer and are looking forward to getting back to school as much as I am.  I am looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday morning.  Bring your smiles with you.
