One week of our two week swimming intensive is now over

Swimming always wrecks our curriculum planning for the weeks when we have this intensive as our complete middle teaching session is taken up with walking to and from the pool and swimming.  For all those parents wondering about Room 6’s reading programme, we have been reading poems and your child should have been brining home a new poem each day to read.  Lots of vocabulary development happens with poetry as well as the fun and beauty of language used well.  Here are some classic pictures of the children swimming

The tamarikis progress over 4 days has been outstanding.  Way to go children, you are awesome!

  1. Kia Ora, Talofa Koraunui Super 6,

I came across your blog while busy looking at other class blogs. I was very happy to see a blog from Stokes Valley. I have family there and I use to teach in Kilbirnie. At the moment I am teaching in North Carolina as part of a cultural exchange programme. I'm teaching my class all about New Zealand. One thing that is great about having blogs is seeing and communicating with other classes around the world. I hope that we can stay in touch and communicate on regular basis.

We will talk to you soon and maybe one day we could skype.

    Have a great week!
