We have been practising our listening skills by learning to draw cartoons. It is a lot of fun and lots of us have been surprised at how fantastic our cartoons look. We especially loved the rabbit drawn from a B and the sailor based on an anchor.

We made some fabulous Rangoli patterns here in Room Six a couple of weeks ago. We have been talking about celebrations around the world and it was Diwali, (the festival of lights) so we read a story about Ram and Sita. Making the patterns with salt and powder paint was lots of fun. We drew them on black paper with chalk to begin with and then we added the colours.

Aren’t our patterns awesome!
