What an awesome finish to our Pacific Ocean topic study. We took 79 children fishing with rods they made themselves down at Days Bay wharf. What a big thank you to those parents who were able to come and support us, it really is not possible to do this kind of trip without you. Nga mihi nui ki a koe. And yes…..we DID catch some fish!

Undersea Plaster Tiles
In the holidays Mrs C, Mrs J and Mrs Ritossa went to a plaster workshop at the city art gallery. They had so much fun making tiles and molds and working with plaster. Here we are starting to paint our undersea molds. We had to borrow the small paint brushes from Whaea Teresa as we need to try and paint in the fine details. Everyone in Room Six was very careful to work slowly. Yiduo noticed that the plaster surface soaked up the paint and water and was very smooth to paint on. We will take more photos as we slowly decorate our tiles.
